According to a recent study of 400 communications leaders, the ability to write good AI prompts will become a more important skill every day in the job market.
And I agree. Jarvis, you always intrigued me. And although, now, we are still far from each of us having our model personalized and completely adapted to personal and work life, there are actions in which Artificial Intelligence applied to corporate communication generates results that seem like magic.
There is no autopilot in using AI. Human-computer interaction and the ability to give instructions and interpret results will be the new digital literacy.
Researching, adapting and training on AI and its application to communication and public relations takes me two hours a day – in the best of cases – but the results are encouraging.
You train your brain to make decisions, generate prompts and be productive by delegating repetitive tasks, supervising, finding errors and maximizing results.
Without a doubt, the ability to write good AI prompts will become a skill that differentiates a mediocre and repetitive product from an outstanding one.

Study on AI, Public Relations and Communication
When I started writing this article, I told you about the new golden skill that professionals of all ages will need. This was analyzed by WE Communications and the USC Annenberg Center for Public Relations, which examined 400 communications leaders about AI in April 2023. The study specifically measured levels of excitement and worry.
Key findings include:
80% of respondents said AI will be extremely or very important to the future of public relations work.
87% of respondents said the ability to write good AI prompts will become a more important skill.
16% of respondents said they were very knowledgeable about AI applications in communications.
59% of respondents said they already have or are looking for ways to incorporate ChatGPT into their work.
23% of respondents said their organizations are changing the way they work because of new AI tools.
88% of respondents said AI will increase the efficiency of their work.
72% of respondents said it will reduce workload.
25% of respondents think AI will have a negative impact on creativity.
Other important skills included having knowledge of human-computer interaction (82%), strategic thinking (79%), and experience in data analysis (75%). We do all this in strategic communication and Public Relations, so do not think that it is hiring the premium plan of a new tool and firing your Communication or PR operatives. There is no autopilot in using AI. Human-computer interaction and the ability to give instructions and interpret results will be the new digital literacy.
And, so in the middle of a family trip, I continue studying and learning more about what I am passionate about and what I know allows me to continue with my professional goals: communication and public relations driven by technology.
AI allows me to save and prioritize efforts. I invite you to try it.
Here we are at 40 degrees, but in good spirits.
